ASA fees 2012 Annual Fees - Swimmer's membership of the ASA Category one - Learn to swim (under 8 years) = £11.50 Category two - Competitive swimmers (aged 8 years and over) = £28.35 Category three - Non-swimming adult volunteers / Helpers = £5.20 ASA Membership is compulsory. It is the cheapest way for the Club to buy insurance. View Harlow Penguins certificate of insurance, which runs from April to March. ASA membership fees and the Club's list of members must be submitted to the ASA by end of March. Any swimmer not registered is uninsured, and will not be allowed to swim. Swimmers receive a membership card and a monthly magazine from the ASA. Category two swimmers must quote their ASA membership number when entering galas. Gala organisers cross-check membership numbers with the ASA. Those whose membership has lapsed are uninsured and will not be permitted to compete. Category 1 swimmers will not be permitted to enter galas. Club fees - as of 1st Jan. 2012 Annual Fees - Harlow Penguins Club membership All squads (Development and above) = £25 Payable each January. Covers volunteers' expenses. e.g. individual insurance for volunteer teachers, training courses, coaches passes at galas, postage, printing and advertising etc. Swimming fees - as of 1st Sept. 2012 Paying monthly by standing order: Academy 1 Squad = £21 Academy 2 Squad = £25 Academy 3 Squad = £28 Academy 4 Squad = £30 Senior Development Squad = £30 Junior County Squad = £35 Senior County Squad = £40 Masters Squad = £15 Paying quarterly in advance by cash or cheque: Learn to Swim = £63 Academy 1 Squad = £63 Academy 2 Squad = £75 Academy 3 Squad = £84 Academy 4 Squad = £84 Senior Development Squad = £84 Junior County Squad = £105 Senior County Squad = £120 Masters Squad = £45

How to pay... Quarterly payments must be made in advance at the start of each term: January, April, July, October Cash is accepted. Cheques should be made out to "Harlow Penguins Swimming Club." There will be a reception desk at LeisureZone on Friday evenings from 6.00pm, where you can pay and put your questions to our Membership Secretary, Debbie Tee (07787 318558), and Treasurer, Chris Tee. The Club does not have enough funds to subsidise late payers. Unfortunately, we are forced to operate a "no fee, no swim" policy, but will allows ample time for you discuss the situation with us. We are always available and willing to listen. Data Protection Act Whichever method of payment you choose, Harlow Penguins needs to record certain information about you and your child. Please read this page about Data Protection Principles, and return a signed copy to our membership secretary at reception. Category 2 swimmers: you are advised NOT to tick the privacy box on your ASA form. This will lead to your ASA# and gala results not being displayed on the national database and prevent you from competing.
