Harlow Open Meet:
owing to the late opening of Harlow LeisureZone pool there can be no Harlow Open Meet in September 2010. Now that we have moved in, negotiations with LeisureZone for gala bookings can begin and we hope to publish arrangements soon. In the 2009-10 Season the new Committee of Harlow Penguins will first organise a small local gala to relaunch swimming in Harlow. The date for this gala has yet to be confirmed, but it cannot be September and therefore needs to be fitted in with the calendar dates of other local Clubs. It is anticipated that this will be a time-restricted gala and entry will be by invitation to local Clubs. The gala will be held in memory of the late Eric Shepherd, founder of Harlow Penguins, and will then become an annual event (in addition to the Harlow Open).
