Essex Block D Results 27th & 28th March 2004

Harlow Penguins finished Essex County Championships with an excellent, well deserved 6th place over four weekends of extremely competitive swimming. The full places can be found here (awaiting update document) - all Harlow Penguin swimmers should be extremely proud of themselves.

During the weekend of the 27th & 28th March Karl secured an overall Mens 1st place with a 3rd in the 200m freestyle, 3rd in the 400m free,1st in the 100m backstroke and a fantastic sub 1 minute 1st place performance in the 100m IM race. 

Kaz was 13yrs overall top girl by coming 2nd in the 200IM, 4th in the 400IM, 3rd in the 100m breast and 3rd 200m breaststroke.

Special mention also to Cydney Newman who secured 4th overall in the 12yr girls. The weekend below she got 3rd in the 800m free, 3rd in the 200m free, 3rd 100 IM, 5th 200m back and 5th in the 100m back. Cyd got a top 6 place in every race she swam during the Essex County Championships!!

Also congratulations to up and coming star Annie Groome who achieved 2nd place in the 100m freestyle - well done Annie, please keep warm poolside!!!
