Club Champs - 200m Breast and Fly (8th March 2005)

Another night of excellent swimming by 31 Harlow Penguins of whom many recorded personal best times.

In the first event the Junior Girls 200m breast stroke title was won by Jenna beating second place Annie by 8 clear seconds. Ria Melvin romped home in third place.

The Junior Boys title (200m breast) was unsurprisingly won by Senner who beat Chris Stevens into second place. Ben Want came in third out touching Oliver and Luke into 4th and 5th respectively. Our youngest swimmer of these long distance races, Matthew Walton (8), swam an impressive time of just over 4 and a half minutes.

The Senior Girls 200m breast event was won by Kaz in 2.49:48. Louise came second with Jodie securing third place in front of Cydney.

Karl Batorski took the Senior boys title from Phil Noone and Mark "joker event" St Clare. Craig got a well deserved 4th beating Matt, Michael, Peter and Ryan.

All our 12 and under girls are wimps!! as none took part in the 200m fly event even though I offered to race with them. Our hardy Junior boys made up of Senner, Oliver and Harry ended as a two swimmer race with Senner being disqualified for breaststroke arms under water. Oliver Taffs (3.37:70) takes the title with Harry Newman coming in a very impressive second place.

Fly swimmer extraordinaire Louise Kendall won the Senior girls 200m fly event beating Cydney and Kaz into second and third place respectively.

Karl Batorski doubled up his second outright win of the evening by claiming first place in the senior Boys 200m fly. Second place Mark was only 20 seconds behind him with Craig coming in third and Matt 4th.
