Club Champs 400m IM - (5th April 2005)
Well done to Jenna, Jo, Harry, Luke, Ryan, Senner, Louise, Kaz, Jodie, Craig, Karl and Matt who all competed in tonight's 400m IM club champs races.
The Junior girls race was easily won by Jenna who only had to avoid disqualification to pick up the 400im title. Jenna was the only girl entry but still recorded an excellent time of 6.36:49
The Junior boys was won by Senner who beat Harry into second and Ryan into third place. Unfortunately both Luke and Jo Cooper were disqualified for illegal fly strokes.
The Senior girls title was competed by Jodie, Kaz and Louise. Kaz was the eventual winner out touching Louise by no more than 0.5 seconds.
The Senior boys title was won by Karl but there was an exciting tassle between Craig and Matt who fought for the bridesmaid position. Craig matched Matt stroke for stroke upto the freestyle final 50m leg where Matt pulled away and got second place. Matt wore a lovely pink t shirt afterwards to celebrate!

The 800m freestyle club championships will be held on 19th April - so far I have 24 entries.
