Club Annual Presentation Day - 16th July 2005
After years of having the Annual Club Presentation held over Christmas in a hall with a Disco it was decided that this year would be different with the intention of an outdoors event combined with BBQ, socialising and games.
Hayley, Guy, Holly, Jodie, Ben and Tizzy Want (including Bob and Val) were kind enough to host the event where 90 Harlow Penguin swimmers, parents, friends and relations had a very enjoyable afternoon on a lovely, hot day. In addition to the the Club Championship awards, Rosie Baker won the Penguin drawing contest, the kids beat the adults at a Rounders match, Oliver Taffs and Ben Want played their own Live 8 gig and £160 was raised at a very well attended raffle. The day was a great success and hopefully to be repeated against next year.
The Club Champions are decided on points received during the Club champ races. Due to the volume of galas before Xmas 2004 the Club Champs 50m and 100m races were held in November with the longer races delayed until February through to April. Therefore the Trophies awarded relate to the period 2004\5 with ages as at 31st December 2004 - this will carry on for the immediate future. The age group winners are
