Junior Speedo Round 3 – Waltham Forest 17 June 2007

Another exciting round in the Junior Speedo and we didn't come last! Team captains were Danielle and Danny.

It was great to see the improved times over the three galas. Everyone swam their best and the Team Manager would like to mention a few of our special Penguins:

A full age 9 girls team, at last, thanks to Georgia Avery braving her first gala.

New members of the age 11 girls team Kerrie-Anne and age 10 team girls Victoria Tee.

An impressive first place went to Amelia Dimmock in the individual backstroke.

Congratulations to Daniel Bolton on competing in his first Junior Speedo so well and at such short notice.

Special thanks also goes to Matthew Walton, Tomas Stevens, Charlie Stevens and Mason Arnold for gallantly swimming up age groups due to absent swimmers.

Finally and by no means least we have a new club record - Tomas Stevens age 9, first place in 50m Fly in 39.23

We certainly have some great young swimmers and we look forward to watching them improve.

Overall after 3 meets Harlow Penguins finished 5^th in the lower half of the division.
