Essex League Div2. Round 4 The points were: Waltham Forest 234 Romford B 199 Harlow Penguins 196 Halstead 195 Brentwood 136 Please find attached the results of a very closely fought final Essex league Gala. All the Harlow Penguins swimmers tried their very best and there were some excellent personal best times (highlighted in yellow). We came third on the night, by 3 points, and overall finished 4th in the league. It was great to see some former regular swimmers return to compete for us, notably Karl Batorski, Kate Burley, Jodie Want, Tom Burley and Mark St.Clare. This certainly made Alan Mitchell's last Harlow Penguins gala memorable. With Alex Francey and Craig Warwick still getting those personal bests and Louise and Alyson getting valuable points our older swimmers showed they are still a force to be reckoned with. Many thanks to Chris and Tomas Stevens, Redgi and Denva Keeble-Bradford, Annie Groome and Emily Sutton for all their efforts and total support for the Penguins at team galas. I hope there will be more opportunities for them to swim for the Penguins in the future. Last but not least, there were some rising swimming stars who showed great determination to continue improving their times and positions : Vikki Malcolm (PB in 50m Fly) Danny Chan (9 sec PB in 100m Breaststroke), Matthew Walton (PB in 50m Freestyle), John Reynolds (PB in 50m Fly), Senner Koskocan, Tori Koskocan (PB in 50m Backstroke), Mason Arnold, Abby Barns, Jasmine Hind, Luke Guerrati, Ryan Wolfe, Amy Sears, Hannah Gladish and Shannen Ellis.
